Q: How important is market share preservation? This year you held share in smartphones, but you had an exciting new product. Is holding share a priority? How do you hold share given that your segment is expected to grow more slowly in the high end?
Cook: The most important thing to Apple is to make the best products in the world that enrich customer’s lives. We’re not interested in revenue for revenue’s sake — we could put the Apple brand on a lot of stuff and sell more products, but we don’t do that. The high-order bit is making a great product.
